High heels make me taller
Support hose to make me smaller.
Blush, eye shadow, lip stick, perfume
Airbrush the wrinkles, help them fade.
Facing up to my imperfections.
Strip if off,
scrape off the make up,
stripping down.
Naked. Ashamed?
Maybe not. Just transparent.
Let you inside to my Monday Me.
Share time. Stare time.
Taking off the masks and make up.
Bare your soul,
scars, wrinkles, and all.
Naked and unashamed
in our Eden, prayer garden,
alone with God together, can it be?
Grace hides the wrinkles,
Mercy shrouds our scars,
Stepping forth again. Clothed.
